COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (Electrical and Electronics Engineering major) is a 192-credit-point program designed to prepare students for professional careers in electrical systems, electronics, and modern communication technologies. The degree begins with a 48-credit-point first year that builds a strong foundation in core engineering principles, including mathematics, physics, programming, engineering design, and problem-solving skills. These foundational subjects provide the essential knowledge required for advanced study in electrical and electronic engineering. From the second year onwards, students complete a 144-credit-point major in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, where they study advanced topics such as circuit analysis, electronic devices, digital systems, signal processing, control systems, communications engineering, and power systems. The program focuses on the design, analysis, and optimisation of electrical and electronic systems used in industries such as energy generation and distribution, telecommunications, automation, and smart technologies. Students gain hands-on experience through laboratory work, simulation exercises, engineering design projects, and real-world problem-solving activities that develop strong technical, analytical, and teamwork skills. The course is delivered by academic staff involved in cutting-edge research, ensuring students are exposed to current industry technologies and innovations.
