COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business (Finance) is a 144-credit point degree completed over three years of full-time study. In the first year, students complete foundation business subjects that introduce core areas such as accounting principles, economics, business law, marketing, management, and responsible business practices. These subjects help students understand how organisations operate and how financial decisions are made within a business environment. In the second and third years, students specialise in the Finance major, where they study key topics such as corporate finance, investment analysis, financial markets, financial modelling, and risk management. These subjects build strong analytical and quantitative skills required to evaluate financial performance, manage assets, and make informed investment decisions in businesses, banks, and government organisations. The program also covers important areas such as share valuation, corporate investment decision-making, and funding strategies, including sustainable and green finance projects. In the final year, students complete a capstone subject where they apply their knowledge to real-world business and financial problems, often working collaboratively with students from other disciplines to develop practical solutions. Alongside core and major subjects, students can choose electives or complete a second major or minor from business or other disciplines, providing flexibility to tailor their studies.
