COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business (Business Analytics) is a 144-credit point degree designed to be completed over three years of full-time study and structured to build strong foundations in business along with specialised analytical skills. In the first year, students complete core business foundation subjects that introduce key areas such as accounting principles, economics, marketing, management, and business law, helping them understand how organisations operate and make decisions. As the degree progresses into the second and third years, students focus on the Business Analytics major, which develops expertise in data analysis, statistical methods, data management, and business intelligence tools. Core analytics subjects include working with large datasets, applying quantitative techniques, and using data to support strategic decision-making across business functions such as finance, marketing, and operations. Students also gain technical skills in areas like data modelling, interpretation of business data, and understanding how analytics supports organisational performance and problem-solving. In the final year, students complete a capstone subject where they integrate and apply their learning to real-world business problems, often working collaboratively with students from other disciplines to simulate professional environments. Alongside core and major subjects, students complete electives or a second major from business or related fields, allowing flexibility to tailor their studies.
