COURSE CURRICULUM

The Global Business major is structured across three levels, providing students with a strong foundation in international business concepts, management, and global economic systems. At Level 1, students complete core units including Foundations of Global Business and Management and Organisations, which introduce key principles of how businesses operate and are managed in both domestic and international contexts. At Level 2, students build on this foundation through Rise of the Global Economy and International Management, where they examine global economic trends, international trade, and how organisations manage operations across borders. At Level 3, students undertake advanced study through Globalisation and Work, Applied International Business Strategy, and Consumers Around the World, which focus on global labour markets, strategic decision-making, and consumer behaviour in different cultural contexts. In addition, students choose an elective such as Business Development Project or Professional Experience Practicum, allowing them to apply their knowledge in real-world or industry-based settings. Across all levels, the course integrates concepts from management, economics, and marketing to develop a well-rounded understanding of global business environments. Overall, the major equips students with analytical, strategic, and communication skills, preparing them for careers in international business, consulting, trade, marketing, and management roles within global organisations and multinational enterprises.
