COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business and Organisational Management course is structured across three levels to build a strong foundation in management, marketing, and organisational strategy, while also developing practical workplace skills. In Level 1, students complete core introductory units including MGMT1136 Management and Organisations (6 points), which explores how organisations operate and are structured, and MKTG1203 Introduction to Marketing (6 points), which introduces the basic principles of marketing and consumer behaviour. In Level 2, students advance to more specialised areas with HRMT2237 Human Resource Management (6 points), focusing on recruitment, employee relations, and workplace management, INMT2232 Project Management (6 points), which develops skills in planning and delivering projects, and MKTG2238 Marketing Communications (6 points), which examines advertising, branding, and promotional strategies. In Level 3, students study advanced subjects including MGMT3347 Strategic Management (6 points), which focuses on long-term organisational planning and decision-making, and MKTG3306 Strategic Marketing (6 points), which explores high-level marketing strategy and market analysis. Students also choose one applied option worth 6 points, such as BUSN3001 Business Development Project (6 points), which involves solving real business problems, or WILG3001 Work Integrated Learning Internship Program (6 points), which provides industry experience. This structure ensures students progress from foundational knowledge to advanced strategic thinking while gaining practical industry exposure.
