COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Pharmacy (Research) at UTS is designed for registered pharmacists or graduates of a registrable pharmacy degree who wish to pursue advanced research and gain a competitive edge in their careers. The program is highly flexible, allowing students to tailor their research project in consultation with supervisors and the Faculty of Health. This individualized approach ensures that each student can focus on an area of pharmacy that aligns with their professional interests and goals. Students engage in an in-depth research program under expert mentorship, developing skills in experimental design, data analysis, evidence-based problem solving, and critical evaluation of scientific literature. Over multiple years, they work on a research thesis or practice-led project, such as a policy proposal or whitepaper, with the goal of making a unique and significant contribution to the field of pharmacy. Regular presentations to a team of experts provide feedback and foster academic growth while refining communication and professional skills. The program emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and practical application, enabling graduates to translate research findings into meaningful outcomes for healthcare and pharmaceutical practice.
