The Master of Cybersecurity (Extension) at UTS is designed to provide IT, computing science, and engineering graduates with advanced and specialised knowledge in cybersecurity, equipping them to meet the growing demands of this critical field. The program covers a broad range of contemporary and emerging topics, including network security, cloud security, mobile platform security, and IoT security, ensuring graduates are prepared for the diverse challenges of modern digital environments. Students receive a thorough grounding in computer networks, systems programming, and risk management, combined with practical, hands-on learning experiences that emphasise real-world applications. This extension program builds on the standard Master of Cybersecurity by offering additional study through advanced electives or a sub-major, allowing students to broaden their expertise and strengthen their capabilities. Learners can choose to specialise in networking, which supports preparation for Cisco industry certifications, or expand their skills in areas such as cloud infrastructure, systems administration, technology management, and data analytics.
