COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Medical Science/Bachelor of Business comprises a total of 192 credit points, with an equal distribution of 96 credit points in Medical Science and 96 credit points in Business, providing students with an integrated education across both scientific and commercial disciplines. The Medical Science component focuses on building a strong foundation in human biology, disease processes, diagnostic methods, medical technologies, and laboratory-based scientific skills essential for careers in health and biomedical fields. The Business component complements this scientific training by developing core competencies in areas such as management, marketing, finance, and organisational behaviour, with opportunities to explore specialised business disciplines through majors and electives. Students complete both components in full before graduating, as the structure does not allow completion of one degree independently within the combined program. If a student wishes to graduate early with either qualification, they must transfer into the respective single degree program—either the Bachelor of Medical Science or the Bachelor of Business—and meet all its standalone requirements. This structure ensures that graduates gain balanced expertise in both scientific and business domains, equipping them with analytical, practical, and professional skills. The program prepares students for diverse career pathways in medical research, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare management, clinical trials, and business roles within health and science industries, where interdisciplinary knowledge is highly valued.
