The Bachelor of Management with a major in Sports Business at UTS is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the dynamic sports industry. Students begin by completing core disciplinary subjects that build a strong foundation in management principles, covering key areas such as marketing, finance, innovation, and organisational management. These subjects provide essential skills that are applicable across a wide range of industries while forming the basis for specialised learning in sports business. After completing the core subjects, students focus on specialised topics within their major, gaining expertise in managing professional sporting organisations and large-scale events, including high-profile global competitions such as the Olympics, Paralympics, and FIFA World Cup. The program emphasises both theoretical understanding and practical application, ensuring graduates are prepared to handle the complexities of sports management in professional contexts. Students also have the flexibility to enhance their degree through a second major or sub-major, electives from other UTS disciplines such as law, arts, or science, and professional internships that provide hands-on industry experience.
