COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Management at UTS offers an Events major designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the dynamic events industry. Throughout the program, you will first complete core subjects that develop essential management capabilities, including leadership, innovation, marketing, legal understanding, and social impact awareness. These foundational units ensure you have a broad understanding of how organisations operate, how to respond creatively to challenges, and how to make informed, socially responsible decisions. As you progress into your major, your studies will focus on event management, promotion, and sponsorships, providing you with the practical and professional skills required to plan, coordinate, and execute events of varying scales, from community activities to large international conferences. The program also encourages flexibility and interdisciplinary learning, allowing you to complement your Events major with a second major or sub-major, or explore electives from other areas such as arts, technology, or health. This combination of core management knowledge, specialised event expertise, and optional cross-disciplinary exposure ensures that graduates are well-rounded, adaptable, and highly employable. Practical learning experiences, including project-based assessments and capstone subjects like Managing for Social Impact, further enhance your ability to apply theory to real-world scenarios.
