COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation is a 240-credit-point double degree designed to combine advanced technical expertise with innovation and creative problem-solving capabilities. The Information Technology component comprises 96 credit points, including 48 credit points of core subjects that establish a strong foundation in computing principles, programming, software development, systems analysis, and information technology practices. Students also complete a 48-credit-point major to develop specialised knowledge in their chosen IT discipline. To further customise their studies, students undertake an additional 48 credit points by choosing either a second IT major, two sub-majors, one sub-major with four elective subjects, or eight elective subjects. Any selected sub-major must be in a different field from the chosen major, allowing students to broaden their technical expertise across multiple areas of information technology. The Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation contributes a further 96 credit points and is delivered through an accelerated structure during July and Summer sessions across the first three years, followed by a dedicated full year of study after completing the professional IT component. This transdisciplinary curriculum develops advanced skills in innovation, entrepreneurship, critical and creative thinking, collaboration, complexity, and future-focused problem-solving, preparing graduates to lead technological innovation and address complex challenges across diverse industries.
