COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Information Technology and Bachelor of Business combined degree consists of 192 credit points, with 96 credit points allocated to each program, providing students with a balanced education in both computing and business disciplines. The Information Technology component develops strong technical capabilities through the study of programming, software development, systems analysis, database management, networking, cybersecurity, cloud computing, and emerging digital technologies. Students gain practical experience in designing, implementing, and managing technology solutions while developing problem-solving and analytical skills essential for the modern IT industry. The Business component complements this technical foundation by building knowledge in key areas such as management, marketing, finance, accounting, economics, business strategy, entrepreneurship, and organisational behaviour. Students learn how businesses operate, make strategic decisions, manage resources, and respond to changing market conditions. The integrated structure enables students to understand how technology supports business objectives and how business strategies influence the development and implementation of information systems. Throughout the program, students engage in practical projects, collaborative learning, and industry-relevant activities that strengthen communication, teamwork, leadership, and project management skills.
