COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Information Systems combined with the Bachelor of Sustainability and Environment requires the successful completion of 192 credit points, equally divided between the two disciplines with 96 credit points each. The Information Systems component consists of 78 credit points of core subjects that develop essential knowledge in business information systems, data management, systems analysis, enterprise technologies, project management, and digital transformation, along with 18 credit points of choice subjects that allow students to tailor their studies to specific interests and career goals. The Sustainability and Environment component includes 48 credit points of core subjects that provide a comprehensive understanding of sustainability principles, environmental management, climate challenges, and sustainable development. Students also complete elective subjects spanning Science, Governance and Policy, Society and Culture, Engineering, and Science and Environment, enabling them to explore sustainability from multiple disciplinary perspectives. Throughout the program, students engage in practical learning through industry projects, case studies, collaborative assignments, and community-based initiatives that strengthen problem-solving, analytical, communication, and leadership skills. This balanced curriculum integrates technical expertise in information systems with sustainability knowledge, preparing graduates to design innovative digital solutions that support environmental responsibility, organisational efficiency, and sustainable development across industries including business, government, healthcare, consulting, environmental management, and technology-driven enterprises.
