COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Forensic Science Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation requires a total of 240 credit points and is structured to combine specialised scientific training with transdisciplinary innovation skills. The forensic science component consists of 144 credit points, including 48 credit points of core subjects that provide foundational knowledge in scientific principles and forensic methods. Students then complete a 72-credit-point major in a chosen forensic discipline, allowing them to develop advanced expertise in areas such as crime scene investigation, forensic biology, forensic chemistry, or digital forensic science. In addition, 24 credit points of electives give students the flexibility to broaden their learning across other scientific areas or complementary disciplines within the university. The Creative Intelligence and Innovation component contributes 96 credit points and focuses on developing advanced skills in critical thinking, creativity, innovation, and interdisciplinary problem-solving. These subjects are delivered in accelerated formats during July and summer sessions across the first three years of study, as well as through a dedicated year after completion of the professional degree component. This structure ensures that students not only gain deep technical knowledge in forensic science but also develop the ability to approach complex, real-world problems from multiple perspectives. Graduates are prepared for careers in forensic science, criminal justice, law enforcement, intelligence, and other fields requiring both scientific expertise and innovative, adaptable thinking.
