COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Fashion Business at UTS is a 144-credit-point program structured to integrate fashion knowledge with core business disciplines, preparing students for careers in the global fashion industry. The degree consists of 84 credit points of core fashion subjects, which provide a strong foundation in fashion industry practices, consumer behaviour, fashion systems, and the cultural and creative dimensions of fashion. These subjects help students understand how fashion operates as both a creative and commercial industry. In addition, students complete 42 credit points of core business subjects drawn from areas such as economics, finance, accounting, marketing, and management, equipping them with essential business skills needed to operate and lead within fashion organisations. The remaining 18 credit points are allocated to electives, including 6 credit points of Transdisciplinary Electives and 12 credit points of Free Electives, allowing students to broaden their knowledge or explore areas of personal interest beyond the core curriculum. This structure ensures a balanced education that combines industry-specific fashion knowledge with strong business acumen. By integrating creative and commercial perspectives, the program prepares graduates to navigate complex fashion markets, develop strategic solutions, and contribute effectively to fashion businesses, retail organisations, and entrepreneurial ventures in both local and global contexts.
