COURSE CURRICULUM

This double degree combines the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with the Bachelor of Business, requiring students to complete a total of 246 credit points. The engineering component accounts for 156 credit points and includes an Engineering core of 36 credit points that builds foundational knowledge in mathematics, science, and engineering principles. It also includes a Professional Engineering Practice stream worth 6 credit points, which incorporates 12 weeks of industry experience to ensure students gain practical, real-world exposure to engineering environments. In addition, students complete a 114-credit-point engineering major, selected at admission, with the option to change to a designated major later; students in the flexible pathway are expected to confirm their major by the end of the first year. The business component totals 90 credit points and consists of a 48-credit-point business core that develops essential skills in management, economics, accounting, and organisational behaviour, along with a 48-credit-point business major allowing further specialisation in areas such as finance, marketing, or entrepreneurship. Together, the program integrates technical engineering expertise with strong commercial and management capabilities. This structure prepares graduates for interdisciplinary careers where engineering solutions must be combined with business strategy, innovation, and leadership, making them highly adaptable in both technical and corporate environments.
