COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Economics/Bachelor of Laws (Honours) comprises a total of 240 credit points, enabling students to graduate with separate honours-level qualifications in economics and law while developing advanced legal, analytical, and research capabilities. The Law (Honours) component consists of 144 credit points, including 108 credit points of compulsory core law subjects that provide comprehensive knowledge of key legal principles and satisfy the academic requirements for legal practice. Students also complete a 6-credit-point legal theory option to strengthen their understanding of legal philosophy and critical analysis. The remaining 30 credit points offer flexibility through law options that include either general law electives combined with research methodology and a research thesis or a technology-focused pathway featuring subjects in technology law, policy and ethics, applied projects in law, innovation and technology, research methodology, a research thesis, and either a disruptive technologies and the law subject or a local internship. The Economics component comprises 96 credit points, including 66 credit points of core subjects covering essential areas such as econometrics, macroeconomics, and microeconomics, along with 30 credit points of elective subjects that allow students to pursue specialized interests. This well-balanced curriculum integrates legal, economic, research, and practical learning, preparing graduates for leadership roles across legal, government, corporate, consulting, policy, and research sectors.
