COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Creative Production in Media Arts and Bachelor of Laws at UTS is a 240-credit-point double degree that integrates advanced screen production training with a comprehensive legal education, preparing students for careers in both the creative industries and the legal profession. In the Media Arts component, students complete core subjects that explore the relationship between sound and the moving image, ethical creative practice, and entrepreneurship, while developing practical skills in screen storytelling across formats such as drama, documentary, and other visual media productions. Through the Media Arts and Production stream, students refine their creative vision as practitioners and build a professional portfolio, further enhanced by electives in Creative Production and Communication that reflect emerging industry trends. In parallel, the Law component covers foundational and advanced areas of legal study including ethics, evidence, contracts, civil practice, international law, and related legal frameworks. Students may also specialise through a major in Legal Futures and Technology or broaden their expertise via elective options. The program ensures graduates meet the academic requirements for admission to practise law in New South Wales while also gaining strong creative, analytical, and practical capabilities. With a focus on ethics, justice, media arts, and applied learning, graduates are equipped for diverse roles in media production, entertainment, and legal practice, as well as interdisciplinary careers at the intersection of law, technology, and creative industries.
