COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Creative Production (Media Arts) comprises a total of 144 credit points, designed to provide students with a flexible and practice-oriented education in contemporary media and creative production. The course includes 18 credit points of Creative Production Core subjects that introduce foundational concepts, tools, and practices relevant to the creative industries. Students then complete 54 credit points of Media Arts Stream subjects, which build core technical, conceptual, and creative skills in media arts practice. In addition, 18 credit points of Media Arts Stream Choice subjects allow students to further tailor their learning within specialised areas of interest. A significant part of the program consists of 54 credit points of sub-majors and electives, offering multiple flexible pathways. Students may choose to complete either two 24-credit-point sub-majors plus one 6-credit-point transdisciplinary elective, or one 24-credit-point sub-major combined with 30 credit points of electives (including a 6-credit-point transdisciplinary elective), or alternatively 54 credit points of electives that also include a 6-credit-point transdisciplinary elective. This flexible structure enables students to design a personalised academic pathway aligned with their creative and professional goals. Students must formally opt into a sub-major through an eRequest process. Overall, the program integrates creative practice, technical media skills, and interdisciplinary learning, preparing graduates for diverse careers in media production, digital content creation, and the broader creative industries.
