COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Construction Project Management at UTS is a 192-credit-point program structured to develop strong technical, managerial, and industry-ready skills for careers in the construction and built environment sectors. The course consists of 168 credit points of core subjects, which form the foundation of the degree and focus on essential areas such as construction processes, project planning, cost management, risk management, contract administration, and the use of digital technologies in construction such as Building Information Modelling (BIM). These core subjects ensure students gain a comprehensive understanding of how construction projects are initiated, developed, and delivered across residential, commercial, and infrastructure contexts. In addition, students complete 24 credit points of options subjects, which can be selected from within UTS: Design, Architecture and Building or other faculties across the university. Students who complete four electives (24 credit points) in a common disciplinary area may qualify for a sub-major, with options including architectural studies, business studies, planning, marketing, entrepreneurship, languages, international studies, and research methods. This flexible structure allows students to tailor their education to align with their career interests while maintaining a strong professional core. Overall, the program prepares graduates with the technical knowledge, leadership skills, and interdisciplinary understanding required for successful careers in construction project management and related industries.
