COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Pharmacy is a professionally accredited graduate-entry program designed to prepare students for a fast-tracked and impactful career in the pharmacy profession. It equips future pharmacists with a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences, clinical practice, and evidence-based healthcare, enabling them to contribute meaningfully to patient care and the wider health system. Throughout the course, students develop expertise in areas such as pharmacology, pharmaceutics, medicinal chemistry, microbiology, and pharmacokinetics, alongside practical training in dispensing, experiential placements, and integrated primary healthcare. The program is structured to progressively build both scientific knowledge and clinical competence, beginning with core biomedical and pharmaceutical subjects in Year 1, combined with early professional practice and placement experiences. In Year 2, students advance into more complex therapeutic areas including neurology, cardiovascular, endocrine, immunology, and cancer pharmacotherapy, while also completing professional practice units, public health and pharmaceutical policy studies, and a capstone unit that integrates learning across the degree. Experiential placements throughout the program ensure students gain hands-on experience in real pharmacy settings, reinforcing communication, clinical reasoning, and patient-focused care skills.
