COURSE CURRICULUM

The Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Endodontics) is a three-year specialist training program that combines advanced clinical education, research, and expertise in endodontic care. In the first year, students establish a strong foundation in endodontics through Clinical Endodontics I and II, which focus on the diagnosis, prevention, and management of diseases affecting the dental pulp and periapical tissues. The curriculum also includes Advanced Studies in Orofacial Pain and Orofacial Pain 1, enabling students to understand the assessment and management of complex dental and facial pain conditions. Research training begins with Research Methods in Dentistry and Dental Research Studies 1, fostering evidence-based practice and critical research skills. In the second year, students advance their clinical competence through Clinical Endodontics III and IV, managing increasingly complex cases while strengthening diagnostic and treatment planning abilities. Concurrently, Dental Research Studies 2 and 3 support the development of independent research and scholarly inquiry. In the final year, Clinical Endodontics V and VI provide intensive specialist-level training, allowing students to refine advanced endodontic techniques and manage challenging cases with confidence and precision. Dental Research Studies 4 and 5 further enhance research expertise and academic development. Throughout the program, students integrate theoretical knowledge, clinical experience, and scientific research, preparing them for careers as specialist endodontists, researchers, educators, and leaders in advanced dental practice.
