COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum covers foundational subjects in social work theory, sociology, psychology, and policy. Year 1 introduces core concepts in social work, human behavior, and social policy. Year 2 delves into research methods, diversity, and intervention strategies. Years 3 and 4 focus on advanced topics like mental health, child welfare, and community development, with two supervised fieldwork placements totaling 1,000 hours. Elective units allow specialization in areas such as Indigenous studies or international social work. Assessment includes essays, presentations, and reflective journals, ensuring a blend of academic and practical learning.
