COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science and Master of Nutrition and Dietetics is a combined degree designed to prepare students for a professional career as a qualified dietitian. It provides a strong foundation in nutritional science at undergraduate level, followed by advanced clinical and practical training at master’s level. In the Bachelor of Science phase, students study core science units along with junior electives and an embedded nutrition program, including a major in nutrition science. They also complete a minor or second major from related disciplinary areas, which helps broaden their scientific understanding. Additional electives are included to meet the required credit points for graduation. After achieving the required academic standard, students progress into the Master of Nutrition and Dietetics. This postgraduate phase focuses on advanced nutrition and dietetics knowledge, clinical practice, and applied health sciences. It includes specialised core units, supervised professional placements in healthcare or community settings, and a research project that develops evidence-based practice skills. The overall program blends theory with hands-on clinical experience, preparing graduates to work in hospitals, community health, public health nutrition, research, and private practice as accredited dietitians.
