COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws is a structured double degree that integrates scientific training with comprehensive legal education over a five-year program. In the early years, students build a strong foundation in both disciplines by studying mathematics, core science major units, and science electives alongside introductory law subjects such as Ngura and the Foundations of Laws and Contracts in Year 1. In Year 2, students continue developing their scientific expertise through additional science major and elective units while also studying key legal subjects including Criminal Law, Process and Research I and II, and Lawyers, Justice and Ethics, along with an Open Learning Environment (OLE) unit. Year 3 focuses more heavily on advanced science study through multiple major units while introducing essential law subjects such as Torts, Public International Law, and Public Law and Statutory Interpretation. From Year 4 onward, students transition fully into intensive legal education, completing core law units including Property and Commercial Law, Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Evidence, Corporations Law, Equity, Land Law, and Civil Dispute Resolution. In the final year, students undertake advanced legal studies such as Conflict of Laws, Jurisprudence, and multiple law electives to deepen specialization. This integrated structure develops strong analytical, scientific, and legal reasoning skills, preparing graduates for diverse careers at the intersection of science, law, policy, and innovation-driven industries.
