COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) is an interdisciplinary degree designed to develop academic excellence, leadership capability, and the skills needed to address complex global challenges. The program integrates four key disciplines—Politics, Philosophy, Political Economy, and Economics—allowing students to choose one as a major and another as a minor, providing both depth and breadth of knowledge. Throughout the degree, students develop strong critical thinking, data literacy, and analytical skills, enabling them to evaluate evidence, synthesize information, and make informed decisions. The curriculum also emphasizes clear communication through persuasive writing and effective public speaking, while training in moral philosophy helps students build a strong foundation in ethical decision-making. Students gain an understanding of how policies and institutions shape governments, businesses, and societies, and learn practical skills such as reading and drafting policy briefs. The program also explores international relations and global economic, political, and social trends, preparing graduates to navigate an increasingly interconnected world. Opportunities to participate in the Sydney Global Mobility program allow students to study at partner institutions across more than 40 countries, enhancing their global perspective and employability. With shared core units and collaborative learning experiences, the degree fosters a strong sense of community while preparing graduates for leadership roles across public, private, and non-profit sectors.
