COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Pharmacy and Management (Honours) and Master of Pharmacy Practice is a six-year integrated degree that combines pharmacy, healthcare, and business management education to prepare students for professional pharmacy practice and leadership roles. In the first two years, students build foundational knowledge in pharmacy, human biology, pharmaceutical sciences, marketing, business law, accounting, digital business innovation, and employment studies. They learn about drug development, pharmacy practice, professional responsibilities, and healthcare systems while gaining an understanding of business operations and management principles. During the third year, students advance their knowledge in therapeutics, respiratory health, health research, economics, human resource management, and organisational leadership. The fourth year focuses on major clinical areas including cardiovascular, renal, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal, dermatological, endocrine, diabetes, reproductive, neurological, mental health, oncology, and immunology studies, alongside research methods training. In the fifth year, students undertake Pharmacy Honours research and Integrated Professional Practice units while further developing leadership and management capabilities. The final year concentrates on advanced professional practice, covering cardiovascular, respiratory, mental health, diabetes, and oncology care, combined with extensive work-integrated learning placements in professional healthcare environments. Throughout the program, students develop clinical expertise, patient-care skills, leadership abilities, and business acumen. This unique combination of pharmacy and management education equips graduates to provide high-quality healthcare services while effectively managing pharmacy operations and contributing to innovation within the healthcare sector.
