COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering Honours and Bachelor of Project Management is a combined degree that equips students with strong technical engineering expertise alongside essential project management skills. It is designed for students who want to not only design and develop engineering solutions but also lead and manage complex projects from planning through to completion. The program begins with foundational engineering studies in mathematics, computing, and multidisciplinary project-based learning. Students then progress into specialised core and elective units within their chosen engineering stream, which may include Aeronautical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering with Space, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering with Space, Mechatronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering with Space, or Software Engineering. Optional specialisations may also be available depending on the stream. In the final year, students complete an honours thesis in their engineering discipline, demonstrating advanced technical and research capabilities. Throughout the degree, students participate in the Professional Engagement Program, which includes industry experience and engineering work placements. Alongside engineering studies, students complete core units in Project Management, developing skills in planning, scheduling, risk management, project finance, leadership, stakeholder coordination, and resource management. This integrated structure ensures graduates are prepared to manage multidisciplinary engineering projects efficiently while applying strong technical knowledge. Overall, the program develops professionals who can bridge engineering innovation with effective project delivery in industries such as infrastructure, technology, construction, and manufacturing.
