COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering Honours (Dalyell Stream) is a prestigious undergraduate coursework degree designed for high-achieving students who wish to enhance their engineering education through advanced academic opportunities and enriched learning experiences. Accredited by Engineers Australia and other major professional engineering institutions, the program provides a strong foundation in mathematics, computing, and engineering principles while allowing students to undertake advanced units that complement their chosen engineering specialization. Students complete foundational core units, multidisciplinary project-based learning experiences, and a combination of core and specialist elective units tailored to their selected stream. Available streams include Aeronautical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, and Software Engineering. Additional elective units may be chosen from engineering disciplinary or shared pools to meet course requirements and broaden knowledge. A key feature of the degree is the honours thesis completed in the final year, enabling students to undertake independent research within their chosen field. Throughout the program, students participate in the Professional Engagement Program, which includes industry-focused activities, professional skill development, and engineering work experience, ensuring graduates are well prepared for leadership roles and successful careers in the engineering profession.
