COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Advanced Computing is an undergraduate coursework degree designed to develop both practical and theoretical skills across computing, information technology, and business transformation sectors. This accredited program, recognized by the Australian Computer Society, offers a strong foundation through core units that prepare students for professional roles in computer science and IT. Students select a major from the Advanced Computing disciplinary pool, which includes areas such as Computational Data Science, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, and Software Development, alongside elective units that deepen their expertise.The program is highly flexible, allowing students to pursue a minor or a second major either within the Advanced Computing pool or from a diverse shared pool of over 100 majors. This multidisciplinary approach enables students to broaden their knowledge beyond their primary field, combining computing skills with areas like business analytics, economics, linguistics, or environmental studies. Electives can also be chosen from the disciplinary pool, the shared pool, or through the Open Learning Environment to fulfill course requirements.In the final year, students may opt to complete an honours program, provided they meet specific academic criteria, offering further research opportunities and specialization.
