COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Information Technology at UniSQ is structured to provide students with a strong foundation in computing while allowing flexibility to specialise in areas of interest. The degree consists of core courses, a major, and selective courses, ensuring a comprehensive and well-rounded education. The eight core courses introduce essential skills and knowledge for IT professionals, covering discrete mathematics for computing, foundation programming, systems and data management fundamentals, network and security fundamentals, data analytics, ICT professional projects, career planning, and communication skills. These courses are designed to develop both technical expertise and professional competencies, including problem-solving, critical thinking, and effective communication. Alongside the core courses, students complete an eight-unit major in their chosen field of specialisation, providing an in-depth focus that aligns with their career goals.
