COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Business requires students to successfully complete 24 units, structured to provide a strong foundation in business fundamentals while allowing for specialised study through a major and additional units chosen to support individual career goals. Like most undergraduate degrees, the structure combines core courses with major study and flexible options, ensuring graduates develop broad professional capability alongside deeper expertise in their chosen business field. Students begin with eight core courses that introduce the essential skills and knowledge required across modern business environments. These include Data Insights and Financial Performance, which builds financial literacy and analytical capability; Digital Disruption, which examines the impact of technology on business models; and Fundamental Economics, which develops an understanding of economic forces that influence decision-making. Commercialisation introduces students to entrepreneurial thinking and value creation, while Human Capabilities for Business, Customer Experience, and Cultivating Talent build communication skills, teamwork, leadership potential, and an understanding of how organisations attract, develop, and retain people. The Equipped Graduate serves as a capstone-style core unit, strengthening employability and professional identity as students prepare to transition into the workforce. After completing the core, students undertake an eight-unit major that allows them to specialise in an area such as management, human resources, marketing, business analytics, finance, or another business discipline offered by UniSQ. This major provides focused knowledge and applied skills relevant to specific business career paths. In addition to the core and major, students complete eight more units, selecting from options outlined in the program structure. These may include a second major, two minors, or a combination of electives that complement their primary area of study.
