COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Arts requires students to complete 24 units, structured to provide both a strong academic foundation and the flexibility to tailor the degree to individual interests and career goals. As with most undergraduate qualifications, the program combines core courses with optional majors, minors, and electives, allowing students to build foundational knowledge while also exploring specialised areas in depth. Students begin with four core courses, which introduce essential skills in academic inquiry, critical thinking, communication, and professional identity development. These core units ensure all students share a common base of competencies before branching into their personalised study pathways. The remaining 20 units are drawn from major and selective options, allowing students to design a program that aligns with their chosen discipline areas. The structure offers two pathways: Option 1, which consists of an eight-unit primary major complemented by a mix of minors and electives, and Option 2, which consists of a full 20-unit sequence within a single major or a structured combination of majors and advanced disciplinary study. This flexible framework enables students to build expertise across more than 30 available discipline areas, ranging from humanities and social sciences to creative arts, digital media, communication, and emerging interdisciplinary fields.
