COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum spans four semesters over two years. Year 1 includes foundational courses such as Introduction to Speech Pathology Practice, Anatomy and Physiology for Speech Pathology, Linguistics for Speech Pathology, and Neurogenic Communication Disorders. Students also undertake introductory clinical placements. Year 2 advances to specialized topics including Pediatric Speech and Language Disorders, Adult Swallowing Disorders, Voice Disorders, and Research Methods in Speech Pathology. Advanced clinical placements form a significant component, with students completing supervised practice in real-world settings. The program incorporates case-based learning, simulations, and a research project or capstone. Elective options may include augmentative and alternative communication or multicultural issues in speech pathology. Assessment methods include exams, assignments, clinical evaluations, and presentations.
