COURSE CURRICULUM

The Master of Computer Science (Management) consists of 32 units designed to integrate advanced computing knowledge with management and leadership skills. The program includes 6 to 20 units of Flexible Core Courses, which provide advanced technical training in computer science and allow students to tailor their studies across different areas of computing such as software systems, data science, artificial intelligence, and information technology. Students also complete 4 to 10 units of Research Courses, which develop advanced analytical and research skills through projects that involve investigating complex computing problems and applying evidence-based solutions. In addition, 8 units are taken from Management Elective Courses, which build capabilities in leadership, organisational management, decision-making, and strategic planning within technology-driven environments. The program allows further flexibility with 0 to 8 units from Advanced Undergraduate Electives and 0 to 10 units from Postgraduate Electives, enabling students to deepen or broaden their expertise depending on their career goals. Across the degree, students must complete at least 12 units at level 6 or higher and at least 8 units at level 7 or higher, ensuring an advanced level of study, while no more than 8 units can be at level 3. Overall, the program develops highly skilled computing professionals with strong technical expertise and management capabilities, preparing graduates for leadership roles in the global IT and technology industry.
