COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Business Management dual degree requires completion of 64 units, comprising 32 units from Music and 32 units from Business Management. The Music component includes 24 units of core courses and 8 units of flexible core courses, providing a strong foundation in performance, musicianship, music theory, history, and creative practice. Students develop technical proficiency, artistic expression, and ensemble skills while also having the flexibility to explore specialised interests such as composition, music technology, or performance practice through the flexible core courses. The program ensures a balance between structured learning and creative exploration, supporting the development of well-rounded musicians prepared for professional practice. The Business Management component consists of 16 units of core courses and 16 units from one chosen business major. Core studies introduce essential business concepts such as accounting, economics, marketing, leadership, and strategic management, while the selected major allows students to specialise in a field aligned with their career aspirations. By integrating music with business management, the dual degree equips graduates with both creative and commercial expertise. This combination prepares students for diverse careers in the music and entertainment industries, including performance, arts management, marketing, production, and entrepreneurship, while also providing transferable skills applicable across broader business and creative sectors.
