COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences/Bachelor of Information Technology dual degree requires the completion of 64 units, with 32 units allocated to each program. The Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences component provides a comprehensive understanding of human health, physical activity, exercise, nutrition, and sport through compulsory courses in anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, nutrition science, exercise physiology, psychology, health promotion, research methods, and sport coaching. Students also undertake studies in socio-cultural aspects of sport, First Nations perspectives, and industry placement, developing both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in promoting health and wellbeing across diverse populations. The Information Technology component consists of up to 2 units of foundation courses, 22 units of core courses, 2 units of information technology extension courses, and 6 to 8 units of discipline elective courses. This structure equips students with essential knowledge in computer systems, software development, programming, databases, networking, cybersecurity, user experience design, and problem-solving methodologies. Elective courses allow students to further specialise in areas aligned with their interests and career goals. By integrating health sciences with information technology, the program develops graduates who can apply digital innovation to health and exercise settings, preparing them for careers in health informatics, digital health, sports technology, data analytics, software development, and technology-driven healthcare solutions.
