COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences/Bachelor of Business Management dual degree requires the completion of 64 units, with 32 units dedicated to Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences and 32 units to Business Management. The Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences component provides a strong scientific foundation through compulsory courses in anatomy, physiology, biology, chemistry, nutrition, exercise science, psychology, health promotion, sport coaching, and research methods. Students study subjects such as Anatomical Basis of Human Movement, Physiology for Human Movement Studies, Nutrition Science, Exercise Physiology, Nutrition in the Lifespan, Psychology of Sport and Exercise, and Promoting Health through Physical Activity, Exercise and Diet. The program also includes Indigenous Studies, sport and physical activity management, contemporary nutrition topics, and an industry placement, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge in professional settings. The Business Management component consists of 32 units, including 16 units of core business courses and 16 units from a chosen major. Core studies provide knowledge in accounting, economics, marketing, leadership, business information systems, and strategic management, while the major allows students to develop specialised expertise in a selected business discipline. Together, these components create a multidisciplinary qualification that combines health and exercise science with business skills, preparing graduates for careers in sports management, health promotion, entrepreneurship, wellness consulting, and organisational leadership.
