COURSE CURRICULUM

The dual degree requires the completion of 64 units, comprising 32 units from the Bachelor of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences and 32 units from the Bachelor of Arts. The Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences component provides a comprehensive foundation in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, psychology, health promotion, sport coaching, and exercise science. Core courses include Anatomical Basis of Human Movement, Biology for Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences, Physiology for Human Movement Studies, Introductory Chemistry, Nutrition Science, Nutrition in the Lifespan, Exercise Physiology, Integrative Cell and Tissue Biology, Psychology of Sport, Physical Activity and Health, and Promoting Health through Physical Activity, Exercise and Diet. Students also develop research capabilities, gain industry experience through professional placement, and explore socio-cultural perspectives, healthcare systems, and First Nations studies. The Bachelor of Arts component offers flexibility to tailor studies according to individual interests and career goals. Students can complete either two majors selected from a broad range of Arts disciplines or an extended major combined with a minor. This structure enables the development of complementary skills in areas such as psychology, sociology, languages, humanities, and social sciences. Together, the two degrees create a multidisciplinary educational experience that combines scientific expertise with critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills, preparing graduates for diverse professional pathways.
