COURSE CURRICULUM

This dual degree combines the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) with the Bachelor of Business Management, requiring completion of 88 units in total and preparing graduates for careers that integrate technical engineering expertise with strong business leadership skills. The program includes 56 units of engineering study and 32 units of business studies. In the engineering component, students complete 8 units of core courses that establish foundational knowledge in mathematics, programming, and professional engineering practice. Students then choose one engineering specialisation—Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Software Engineering—comprising 48 units of advanced discipline study. These courses develop deep technical capability in areas such as systems design, infrastructure, energy, software development, and applied engineering problem-solving. Certain introductory courses in economics, mathematics, science, and statistics are excluded from credit in specific specialisations to maintain academic progression standards. The business component consists of 32 units, including 16 units of core business courses that introduce key concepts in management, economics, marketing, and organisational strategy. Students also complete a 16-unit major in a chosen business discipline, allowing deeper expertise in areas such as leadership, innovation, finance, or international business. Together, the program equips graduates with a powerful combination of engineering knowledge and business management capability, enabling them to work effectively in technical industries, corporate environments, and leadership roles.
