COURSE CURRICULUM

The combined Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science program requires students to complete a total of 64 units of study, designed to integrate strong business knowledge with scientific expertise and analytical skills. The Bachelor of Commerce component consists of 32 units, including 16 units of core courses and 16 units from one selected commerce major. The core courses provide a foundation in essential business areas such as accounting, economics, management, marketing, business information systems, and statistics, ensuring students understand how organisations operate and make informed decisions. The Bachelor of Science component also comprises 32 units and offers both breadth and specialisation in scientific disciplines. It includes 4 units of core science courses that introduce fundamental scientific concepts and methods, followed by either a 28-unit major or a 28-unit extended major in a chosen science field such as biology, chemistry, mathematics, environmental science, or data science. The program requires students to complete at least 10 units at Level 3 or higher, ensuring advanced-level study and strong research capability. This structure enables students to combine analytical business thinking with scientific problem-solving and technical expertise. Graduates are well prepared for diverse careers in science, technology, business, consulting, and research, where interdisciplinary knowledge and adaptability are highly valued in addressing complex global challenges.
