COURSE CURRICULUM

The combined Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Information Technology program requires students to complete a total of 64 units of study, designed to integrate business leadership skills with advanced technical expertise in computing and digital systems. The Bachelor of Business Management component accounts for 32 units and includes 16 units of core courses along with 16 units from one chosen business major. The core business courses provide foundational knowledge in areas such as accounting, economics, marketing, management, business law, information systems, and organisational behaviour, ensuring students understand how modern organisations operate. The Bachelor of Information Technology component also consists of 32 units and is structured to build strong technical competence in computing and digital technologies. It includes a small number of foundation courses (0–2 units if required), 22 units of core IT courses covering key areas such as programming, databases, systems analysis, networking, and software development, 2 units of information technology extension courses, and 6–8 units of discipline electives allowing specialisation in areas like cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, data science, or software engineering. This combination ensures students gain both strategic business understanding and strong technical IT skills. Graduates are well prepared for careers in business analysis, IT consulting, systems development, project management, and digital transformation roles across global industries.
