COURSE CURRICULUM

The combined Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Economics program requires students to complete a total of 64 units of study, designed to integrate practical business expertise with strong economic analysis skills. The Bachelor of Business Management component accounts for 32 units and includes 14 units of core business courses tailored specifically for the Business Management/Economics combination, 16 units from one chosen business major, and 2 units of general electives. The core business courses provide foundational knowledge in key areas such as accounting, economics, law, marketing, business information systems, and organisational behaviour, ensuring students understand essential business functions. Students then specialise through a selected business major, gaining deeper expertise in areas such as marketing, human resources, innovation, or international business, while also having limited flexibility through general electives. The Bachelor of Economics component also consists of 32 units and includes 16 units of core economics courses that develop strong analytical and quantitative skills, covering topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. In addition, students may either complete a major in economics or choose 16 units from flexible core economics courses, allowing some customisation based on interest. This dual structure ensures students develop both business management capabilities and advanced economic reasoning. Graduates are well prepared for careers in finance, consulting, policy analysis, government, international organisations, and corporate leadership roles requiring strong analytical and decision-making skills.
