COURSE CURRICULUM

The combined Bachelor of Business Management and Bachelor of Design program requires students to complete a total of 64 units of study, integrating business strategy with creative and design thinking skills. The Bachelor of Business Management component accounts for 32 units and includes 16 units of core courses and 16 units from a selected business major. The core courses provide a strong foundation in essential business areas such as accounting, economics, marketing, management, organisational behaviour, business law, and information systems, ensuring students understand how organisations operate in competitive environments. The Bachelor of Design component also consists of 32 units and is structured to develop strong creative and problem-solving abilities. This includes 28 units of core design courses that focus on design thinking, visual communication, innovation, user-centred design, and creative practice. In addition, students may choose up to 4 units from program electives and up to 4 units from general electives, allowing some flexibility to broaden or deepen their studies. The program emphasises studio-based and project-based learning, where students work collaboratively to analyse problems, challenge assumptions, and develop innovative and sustainable design solutions. By combining business management with design, the degree prepares graduates with a unique interdisciplinary skill set, enabling them to pursue careers in innovation, entrepreneurship, consulting, product development, marketing, and creative industries where both strategic thinking and creativity are highly valued.
