COURSE CURRICULUM

The combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management program requires students to complete a total of 64 units of study, structured to develop both broad academic knowledge and specialised industry skills. The Bachelor of Arts component accounts for 32 units and allows students to tailor their studies by selecting either two majors or a combination of one extended major and one minor from a wide range of humanities, social sciences, and language disciplines. This flexible structure helps students build strong critical thinking, communication, creativity, and analytical skills that are transferable across many career paths. The Bachelor of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management component also consists of 32 units and is divided into two parts: 16 units of core courses and 16 units from one chosen major. The core courses provide foundational knowledge in key areas such as tourism systems, hospitality operations, event planning, marketing, business management, and organisational behaviour. The major allows students to specialise further in a specific area of the industry, such as tourism management, hospitality leadership, or event management. This combination ensures students gain both academic depth and practical industry expertise.
