COURSE CURRICULUM

The curriculum spans four years and includes foundational courses in human biology, linguistics, and psychology in the first year. Year two focuses on speech pathology principles, assessment techniques, and intervention strategies for various disorders. Advanced topics in years three and four cover pediatric and adult speech pathology, neurology, research methods, and professional practice. Students complete clinical placements in diverse settings, accumulating over 600 hours of supervised practice. The honours year involves a research project, thesis, and specialized electives. Core units include Anatomy and Physiology for Speech Pathology, Introduction to Clinical Practice, and Evidence-Based Practice in Speech Pathology.
