COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Commerce program requires students to complete a total of 48 units of study, designed to build strong analytical, financial, and business decision-making skills. The program includes 16 units of core courses that are compulsory for all students, providing a foundation in essential business and commerce areas such as management accounting, financial reporting and analysis, business information systems, economics for business, introductory statistics, finance, business law, and management. These core subjects ensure students develop a broad understanding of how businesses operate and make informed decisions in real-world contexts. In addition to the core courses, students complete 16 units from one chosen major within the Bachelor of Commerce, allowing them to specialise in areas such as accounting, business analytics, business information systems, or finance. Students then complete either a second 16-unit major in another commerce discipline or 16 units from commerce elective options, giving flexibility to tailor their studies to their career interests. The program also includes academic progression requirements, with a maximum of 24 units at Level 1 and a minimum of 8 units at Level 3 or higher, ensuring students engage in advanced-level study. Overall, this structure equips graduates with strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills, preparing them for careers in accounting, finance, business analytics, consulting, and other professional commerce-related fields.
