COURSE CURRICULUM

This program combines core business and law studies with progressive legal training, structured across introductory, developing, and graduate levels, along with majors, minors, and electives. The introductory stage (120 units) establishes foundational knowledge in accounting principles, economics for business, management, marketing, information systems in organisations, and key legal fundamentals such as introduction to law, legal interpretation and persuasion, torts, criminal law and procedure, and law and society. The developing stage (72 units) deepens legal understanding through property law A and B, constitutional law, contract law, international law, and civil procedure. At the graduate level (108 units), students advance into integrated business-law and professional legal studies, including world of work and employability preparation, business governance and society, equity and trusts, corporations law, administrative law, evidence, negotiation and dispute resolution, professional conduct, and community legal practice. Students must also complete one 12-unit applied learning course through either a work-integrated project or placement. The program requires selection of one business major from areas such as digital futures, economics and finance, marketing, human resource management, small business management, or tourism and events. In addition, students complete a law extended minor in advocacy and litigation, civil obligations, or specialised legal studies, alongside up to 48 units of electives to customise their degree and broaden interdisciplinary expertise.
