COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical and Electronic) (Honours) curriculum is designed to equip students with strong technical, analytical, and practical skills required for careers in electrical, electronic, and systems engineering. The program begins with introductory courses covering engineering materials, professional engineering practice, design fundamentals, statics, computing, applied mathematics, calculus, and physics, providing a solid foundation in core engineering principles. In the developing stage, students study digital logic and programming, analog and digital electronics, communications engineering, systems and signals, electrical machines and drives, sustainable engineering design, and advanced mathematics, building deeper expertise in electrical and electronic systems. At the graduate level, students engage with specialised subjects such as electronic design, digital signal processing, power electronics, robotics and autonomous systems, system dynamics and control, advanced communications, embedded systems, power distribution, engineering management, and engineering system design. The program also includes two major engineering projects, allowing students to apply theoretical knowledge to complex real-world problems through research, design, and innovation. Honours classification is based on academic performance in advanced-level courses. Overall, the degree combines mathematics, physics, computing, and engineering design to prepare graduates for professional careers in electrical and electronic engineering, telecommunications, automation, robotics, and power systems in both national and global industries.
