COURSE CURRICULUM

The Bachelor of Creative Industries curriculum is designed to provide students with a strong foundation in creative practice, media production, performance, and communication while allowing significant flexibility for specialisation. The program begins with introductory courses that explore key areas such as creative industries, screen and media industries, creative production, creative writing, theatre, and music performance. These subjects help students develop essential creative skills, storytelling abilities, and an understanding of how different sectors within the creative economy operate. At the graduate level, students complete a specialised course in areas such as event management within the M.I.C.E (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) industry, which develops practical skills in organising and managing professional events. Students also choose between a work-integrated learning project or placement, providing valuable real-world experience and industry engagement. A major feature of the program is its flexible structure, allowing students to select one or two majors, or a combination of majors and minors, from areas such as screen media, music, theatre, creative writing, digital culture, game design, social media, marketing, and advertising. This flexibility enables students to tailor their degree to their interests and career goals. Overall, the curriculum combines creative exploration, technical training, and industry experience to prepare graduates for careers in media, entertainment, arts, and the broader creative industries.
